Misty Mountain The haunting moon shown from above the mountain on Noite de Sangue (meaning Night of Blood). Faint moans and groans echoed through the sky. This was the night where a sacrifice would be made in order to protect the Mountain from AlaBestiam. A terrible beast who has tormented for hundreds of years. Every third Friday of the third month, a pour soul would be stolen from it’s clan and brought to the peak of the mountain. The ritual, Dando de Sangue, Giving of Blood, would take place. It was preformed by the Great Vampire Clan, or otherwise known to the creatures of the Mountain as The Cold Ones. For centuries, the Great Vampire Clan had taken upon themselves to preform the ritual.
The third Friday of the third month is drawing closer as the locals begin to prepare. Mothers hold close their loved ones whereas Fathers stalk up on weapons. It’s natural when The Cold Ones come for their sacrifice, a struggle takes place. But inevitably, a sacrific will be made. Blood for blood. Soon, a new life will be given to AlaBestiam in hopes for another year of protection.
Who will be next this year? No one is safe and no one can predict who will be taken. The locals must come together and unite different species to obtain one mutual goal. End the tradition of sacrifice and end the ruling of AlaBestiam. The only difficult thing is, no one knows who AlaBestiam is or where they dwell. Put together the pieces and take back the mountain, before time runs out! Background on Misty Mountain: The Misty Mountain is home to hundreds of creatures including Gryphons, Werewolves, Elves, Faires and Pegasus. Creatures of the Mountain understand the roles the Vampires must undertake to protect everyone, but that doesn’t mean their presence is always welcomed with a smile. On top of the mystical creatures, the Mountain hosts home to other non-mystical animals. Bats cower in the depths of the caves whereas wild dogs roam the shadows in search of scraps to feed on. A small river glides down the side of the Mountain into the forest below. Wild grizzly bears use the river as their main source of food. Gigantic trees coat the lower section of the mountain providing excellent housing for wild birds and small woodland animals.
Brief background of AlaBestiam, The Witch and The Vampire: AlaBestiam translates to The Great Beast. AlaBestiam has lived for hundreds of years and had a terrible hold over the mountain. Long ago, before the stagnant peace, AlaBestiam was the symbol of death. Nothing could match their power. Their hunger grew and grew over time until the inhabitants of the Mountain nearly grew extinct! One day, a powerful Witch and Vampire stood up to AlaBestiam and produced a powerful charm that only allowed AlaBestiam to emerged every third Friday of the third month. The Vampire, known as Vetagorn, swore that his people would take on the responsibility of protecting the Mountain from AlaBestiam. To calm the beast’s temper and hunger when he did emerg, a sacrifice would be made that night by The Great Vampire Clan. The Witch, Katherine, loved Vetagorn and as years of peace went by, Katherine aged as Vetagorn stayed full of youth. Eventually, Katherine passed from old age, but her family tree still remained in the Mountain, ready to take it’s place if ever need be AlaBestiam was to escape the charm and reek havoc over the lands. Keres
Pacing the cave where the monthly meetings were held, Keres was getting impatient. Not all members of the vampire clan had arrived yet, and today was the start of the countdown to Dando de Sangue. Everyone needed to be present.
Keres thought that today's meeting needed to go well, the other members of the clan had to agree with the proposal, or they wouldn't have the time to deal with the Mountian Creatures who stood to oppose them. The meetings were always held on the first of the month, and each meeting got more nerve wracking than the one previously.
To Vetagorn who had arrived on time, she called out. "Please contact the others and make sure they come sharpish, or there will be hell to pay".
Getting more impatient by the minute Keres started to bite her nails. A habbit she wished she didn't have but couldn't stop all the same. She called to the members who had arrived "Today we need to discuss how to stop the Mountain Creatures from opposing us, as they try every month. I fear that this year they are getting closer to stopping us. Who knows what havoc AlaBestium will wreak if we fail?"

Vetagorn
Vetagorn strolled through the wall of the cave until he reached the opening. The light from outside was bright and warm. As his eyes struggled to adjust, he noticed Keres off to the right, nervously biting at her nails. Casually, he walked over towards her. He knew these meetings were always stressful towards everyone, especially Keres. He only hoped that his presence would help calm the crowd. She was a great commander and he was glad she had accepted the position long ago.
"Please contact the others and make sure they come sharpish, or there will be hell to pay," she ordered to Vetagorn. He smiled slightly at her word choice. Yes, indeed hell to pay. With a nodded, he turned and marched towards the ledge of the cave opening. Glancing down, he spotted a few young stragglers walking slowly and mingling with themselves on the way up towards the meeting. Vetagorn expression turned cold. He would deal with them later.
Without turning, he spoke to Keres, "Lets get on with the meeting. The few that aren't present will have me to deal with later." His voice was deep and stern as he watched the few with dark eyes. Disobedience was not tolerated. Not this close to Dando de Sangue. He glanced towards Keres to begin the meeting. Calmly, he placed his hands inside his coat pockets and moved within the inner circle. He took notice of everyone who was present.
The Great Vampire Clan waited for their Commander to speak.
Jev & Layla
BANG!
A loud noise crashed onto the outside of Jev's miniature hut as he shot out of bed! Grabbing his axe that laid beside him, he rushed outside... Only to see four young gryphon and elves playing with what seemed to be a home-made soccer ball. The children starred in horror as Jev stood on alert with his axe in hand. Clearly, he had over reacted just a tad.
"Quit kicking bloody balls onto my hut!" he yelled as the children hunched in fright. Noticing how much he spooked them, he continued his threat. "Or I'll slash your ball in half! Hell with it, all your toys in half!" He raised his axe above his head and bared his teeth, now currently loving every moment of the event unfolding. Without missing a beat, the children turned and ran in terror. Once they were out of sight, he lowered his axe to his side and laughed out loud. As he turned to head back inside, he spotted Layla leaning against the opening of his hut.
"My, my... That was quite the show there Jev!" she teased while wiping a curl from her face. Layla was a kind soul. Friendly with everyone on the mountain. "Just came by to check on you. Last night you were my top customer! Didn't see you leave. You nearly drank everything in sight!" The night before Jev had come into her camp a long with a few other mysticals looking to have some potions and mixed drinks. A specialty Layla was known for. Jev sighed and scratched the back of his head.
"What can I say, Layla? You have a talent." He spoke the truth. On top of that, earlier in the day, Old Man Griffon had just purchased a lance Jev had forged so he had a little extra pocket money. Layla tilted her head and smiled playfully.
"Thanks hun! I do try." She paused and glanced inside his hut. Sheets and cloths laid sprawled on the floor a long with dirty boots and scraps of metal. A strange smell seeped it's way from inside as well. "I like what you've done with the place," she lied, putting her hand carefully over her nose. Jev smiled slightly and threw his axe on his cot.
"Yeah, it ain't much. But it's home," he shrugged. Layla smiled halfheartedly and rolled her eyes.
"Listen, the real reason why I'm here is to hire you," she paused. "That is, if you're looking for work." Jev leaned against his door as well. A smiled slithered it's way onto his face.
"What kind of job we talkin about here?" he asked.

Penelope & Vi
Penelope rolled her eyes as a small group of lavender and fuchsia pixies chased each other across her path, giggling loudly. Her hands instinctively reached out and brushed through Vi’s plush fur as they strolled lazily through the lush green forest at the base of the mountain. It was lovely out, the perfect amount of sun came through the trees warming the air and almost putting Penelope in a good mood.
“What shall we do today Vi?” Penelope pondered aloud. Vi’s large brown eyes looked lovingly up at Penelope. “We could trek up the mountain? Maybe go scare some little kids?” She suggested hopefully to her companion, who didn’t seem nearly as amused. “Alright then, how about swimming in the river?”
Vi’s eyes brightened and she pushed her head against Penelope’s hand at the last suggestion.
“I guess we have a winner,” Penelope softly chuckled and changed their direction toward the river.
It wasn’t too far of a walk, but the pair took their time getting there. Their steps were inaudible on the soft moss, Penelope’s right hand rested gently on Vi’s right side, keeping her close. Penelope and Vi moved as one, their every step and movements were in sync, even when the two were separate entities. Vi’s ears flicked back and forth at the sounds of birds in the trees and Penelope sighed blissfully at the peace the pair found in the solace of the forest. As the tree line broke a gentle crystalline river came into view. Vi’s small stub tail flicked with anticipation at the prospect of a dive in the cool water.
“Alright, go wild.” The words had hardly escaped Penelope’s lips when Vi left her side and sprinted toward the water.

Keres
"So as you all know the Dando de Sangue is coming up in three weeks time. We need to be prepared! We need to make sure that the creatures of the mountain understand the need for this. Or AlaBestiam will rise once more...
The plan this month is to get all the creatures on our side, without brute force! However if we need to use brute force we will! We will fight if need to, but if we can avoid it we should! We have always fought against them, but now is the time to change.
We need to talk to them! We need to explain the reasonings and we need to let them decide who should be taken! They could allow one of their elderly or kinder creatures be the sacrifice! They hate it when we take their young! So why not let them choose? Let them figure out how to make this deadly decision.
Are you with me?"
The Great Vampire clan were giving nothing away. Keres hoped her speech had gone down well, however she could see a few of the clan looking concerned.
Evangeline
Evangeline was flying over the mountain on Zeus. She could hear banging and clattering coming from the very top cave within the mountain. She hadn't heard anything like this for such a long time.
"What do you think Zeus, Should we investigate?"
After her question Zeus had decided to land near by the cave. She saw a few strange looking creatures stumbling up the mountain towards the noise. Evangeline wondered what was happening. She tried getting closer to the cave, however she was blocked by an unknown force. Casting her mind out toward the cave, she was once again blocked. This was most unusual for Evangeline as she could normally access most places that others couldn't. She wondered if there was a gathering of dark creatures, but couldn't be sure. The outside of the cave looked normal, covered with moss like the rest of them. Clearly something important was going on, and she wanted to know what.
She spied a ledge that had a perfect view of the cave. She flew to the ledge and sat cross legged waiting for the event to finish. She camouflaged herself using magic and hoped she could keep it up until the creatures came out.

OOC:: I changed my original post and moved Atkin to this post and rewrote it.
Vetagorn
The clan all starred towards Keres, the Commander of the Great Vampire Clan. She had presented an idea of having the mountain choose who would be given for Dando de Sangue. Vetagorn grew a little uneasy with the idea, but he knew Keres was thinking for the best interest of her clan. She was hoping to prevent struggle between the creatures and the clan. Vet walked up beside Keres and shifted his weight towards her.
"Keres, could I speak with you inside the cave for a moment?" he whispered to her. Once he spoke, he began advancing towards the opening of the cave with a calm look set on his face. Before he entered, he turned to face the clan.
"We are going to give you all a moment to discuss this among yourselves. We will be back shortly to hear the outcome." He nodded to Keres in hopes agreed on their moment of discussion. Vetagorn was worried the clan wouldn't approve of the mountain voting. They just might want to over through the clan. He turned and walked further into the cave, remembering moments with Katherine. AlaBestiam was an evil being. The mysticals of the mountain never experienced a time with him in ruling. He knew whatever he had to do to secure the mountains safety and future, he must do. Katherine since then has passed so he was the only remaining guardian. He knew whatever the clan decided, he was already thinking of a plan B.
Layla & Jev
Layla lowered her voice and ducked closer to Jev, "It's no secret Dando de Sangue is upon us." Jev nodded in agreement, curious where she was leading the conversation. "My mother was taken two years ago. And I have a feeling I might be up this year." Jev shifted his weight with amusement.
"Just because your mother was taken, Layla, doesn't mean you will be this year. The Cold Ones choose at random." Layla looked down at her feet. Flash back of her mother and her walking through the forest shown inside her head. Her mother's smile. Her gentle, warm touch... Even her scent was all pure love.
"I know," she sighed. "I'm here to hire you for protection. Just for the night." She looked back up and met Jev's eyes. "I know you and the second in Command, Vetagorn, are friends and go way back. If they do have it out for me, they would most likely be forced to rethink their decision."
"You have too much faith in me, Layla. Yes, Vet and I go back, but that doesn't mean he'd throw in the towel if I were to protect you." Jev knew Vet very well. Vetagorn took Dando de Sangue seriously. Nothing will stop him from getting the sacrifice he needs.
Anger scorched within Layla's eyes as the dirt below began to steam. "I am prepared to pay," she said, stepping up within inchs of Jev's face. Jev looked her up and down, assessing the situation. "Thirty gold pieces. Just for the night." She held out her purse with coins. Jev smiled big, eyeing the bag.
"Forty..."
"Thirty two!"
"Thirty eight."
"Thirty five. Final offer."
Jev crossed his arms over his chest. "Fine. Be back here before sun down the night of," he ordered. Layla smiled and handed him the bag before she twirled around and danced off. Her curls bounced playfully behind her.
Atkin
Atkin laid sprawled on his back, allowing the sun to beam down onto his furry belly. It was a beautiful day. There was a slight gust of wind that brushed lightly against his fur while birds sang off in the distance. As he continued to lounge, the wind carried a familiar scent over his way. Taking in a few sniffs, he righted himself, nose in the air with his ears on alert. Penelope & Vi he thought. Jumping up to his four paws, he galloped down the ledge of the cliff he was perched on and into the forest from below. Her scent was near and just as he crossed the small river, he spotted her.
"Penelope & Vi! How are you two this fine day?" he spoke with friendliness. Atkin loves nature mysticals. He always felt a special bond with them all.

Keres
Looking at the confused and angry faces in front of her Keres was unsure if her decision was the right one.
"Keres, could I speak with you inside the cave for a moment?" Vet whispered.
Keres knew that she had better go with him, and wondered if she should have talked to him beforehand rather than shocking him with the rest of the clan. She felt like she was making all the wrong choices!
Evangeline
All about the cave had gone quiet, she hoped that the creatures would come out soon as she was starting to feel tired. Keeping this flow of magic was starting to take its toll on her and she hoped that she wouldn't have to keep it up much longer. She knew that if anything happened to her Zeus wouldn't be able to see! His eyesight was pretty poor and he didn't like to fly without her.
She had thought about leaving her spot for some time, but she's determined to find out what's going on. She wanted to know if she had finally found the Great Vampire Clan or if she had just found a dark feys lair!

Tenourus
Tenna stared at the goblin who appeared to be buckling under the intention of violence in tenna’s eyes “I'm sorry..it’s all I could put together with the scrap that’s around” He wasn't a minotaur of many words. But he who chose them wisely. “I see, and this is to protect our young ?” the goblin hugged the blunt mace to his chest, remembering his own young in his moment of shame. “I can do better ! But the iron is depleted from the mines. But my sources speak of the forest. We we” tenna raised an eyebrow and the goblin finished his sentenced abruptly with a loud squeak.
“The forest is forbidden for mining, the elves do not care for the lives of others like they do nature. They are too far from the mountain to understand the sacrifice we creatures make !” he knew what he was saying wasn’t strictly true, we have all lost something to the vampires. But a battle with elves so close dando de sangue for resources was too risky..or was it? “tenourus I'll go out and make new weapons, your right the elves. They would never let us !” the goblins voice cracked at the end, he turned and shuffled towards the large oak door. Whimpering softly. He had lost hope like so many of us. Tenna had no young, no elder, no brother and no answers to stopping the vampires.
“goblin, your sources’..where in the forest do they speak of ?” the goblin turned, his green skin brightening under the prospect of a plan “by the river, at the mouth they speak of an entrance to a cave bountiful with iron, strong and rich from the elves” tenna pondered, the deep creases of his head shifted down. The goblin stood back not ever seeing a minotours thinking face before “ it can be done. The elves rarely travel so far up stream. Goblin go to your home and wish your family well. By dawn we will be in elven territory and we may not make it out alive”

Penelope & Vi
Penelope and Vi had barely been in the cool water ten minutes when they heard their names ringing through the air. Penelope tensed.
“Oh Drat,” Penelope whispered to Vi, “it looks like we’ve been found today.” She turned her head, wet hair slapping her back, only to see Atkin. The tension she felt early dissipated, of all the creature this forest held, Atkin wasn’t the worst to run into. Plus it didn’t hurt that Vi enjoyed his presence.
“Oh, hello Atkin,” Penelope spoke politely but not with too much excitement. Meanwhile Vi was shaking water out of her coat and heading toward the werewolf with a playful look in her eyes. Penelope smiled, things that made Vi happy tended to soften Penelope’s hard exterior.
“We’ve been taking advantage of the weather to do some swimming. How are you doing?”

Vetagorn
Vet put a gentle hand on her shoulder and smiled, "You're doing great, Keres. Relax." He knew a lot was on her mind. It was always a very stressful time of the year. "I have an uneasy feeling with the idea of the mountain choosing.. I know you feel it's best, and if you want to go with that choice, I will support you." He paused, "However, I need to have a plan B. Just in case." Slowly, he leaned back against the cave wall, over looking the chatting clan from outside. He thought to himself silently. Then suddenly, it came to him.
"Keres, it's no secret I have good scouting skills," he said with eagerness. "Whatever the clan decides tonight, I am fully prepared to take it upon myself to... Scout, out our target." Vetagorn knew that if he did this in silence, the mountain wouldn't know who was to blame for the taking and therefore, no conflict could take place. He glanced down at his palms, hoping he hadn't insulted Keres with his idea.
"I just think that if the clan wants to minimize the attacks and conflicts, this would be the best course of action. Whether or not we allow the mountain to choose, I will grab our target during the night. Bring them back here and we can begin."
Flashes of Katherine's face floated through the air. He knew this was a trying time. But no mistakes could ever be made. This was too important. He had made a promise to Katherine long ago that he would forever live with this burden.
Layla
Layla needed to gather supplies for her potion making. She had just spent thirty five gold coins on protection from Jev during the night of Dando de Sangue. She could only hope he would keep his word. Deep within the forest at a certain turn in the river, she had planted a garden of herbs. It was time to restock. Quickly she used a charm near a pile of twigs and transformed them into a basket. She smiled while grabbing the new invention and strolled down the side of the mountain.
"I should've started at a lower price... Stupid Jev," she complained while digging some of her roots out of the ground. Reaching behind her, she grabbed her blade and started stripping the roots in frustration.
I don't know why, but I feel like it's my turn for Dando de Sangue this year... she thought. Worry clouded her face for a moment as she sat in thought. First her mother and now her? Couldn't be. I feel like the spirits are telling me. Warning me... Layla always felt as if she had a sixth sense. Forces from the unknown had always guided her into making choices. If they were warning her of what was to come, she would be ready. Jev better not betray me!
She threw the roots into the basket and continued on her gathering mission.
Atkin
“We’ve been taking advantage of the weather to do some swimming. How are you doing?” Penelope had said. Atkin smiled and advanced while meeting her friendliness.
"Doing pretty well. Thanks for asking!" Once he spoke, he took notice of Vi shaking their fur. Atkin's wolf instincts kicked in and he lowered onto his four paws, tail wagging and bounced into the water next to Vi. Lowering his top half, he crouched in a playful manner and let out a few barks and nips. It had been a while since Atkin had been around an animal of the mountain. When ever they were near, Atkin's wolf self comes out to play. He could see Vi stand in attention and he took this as a playful act. He lowered his face into the river water and grabbed a smooth rock with his jaws and tossed it towards Vi.
"Hope I don't frighten him! It's been forever since I've been near an animal!" Atkin laughed.

Penelope & Vi
"Hope I don't frighten him! It's been forever since I've been near an animal!" Atkin laughed.
Vi’s paw sprung out of the water and knocked the stone down with a gentle splash. She immediately dove under to race it to the bottom.
Penelope smiled proudly, “I don’t think anything could frighten Vi! Tough as nails she is and fearless.” Penelope paused in thought, remembering a time about a year back when the pair had met a young, overly confident, bear deep in the forest. Vi attacked the brown beast without a second thought when it had lunged at Penelope. Eventually, Penelope had to close her eyes and enter Vi to stop her from ultimately annihilating the poor thing.
Vi resurfaced with grand splash, sprinkling dots of water on the other, disrupting Penelope’s thoughts
“So what bring you here today? Preparing for the upcoming Dando de Sangue?” Penelope quipped sarcastically with the peppiest tone she could muster.

Atkin
“So what bring you here today? Preparing for the upcoming Dando de Sangue?” Penelope quipped sarcastically with the peppiest tone she could muster. Atkin could tell she was a tad nervous about the upcoming event that was about to unfold.
"Eh, not really.." he shrugged. "There's nothing I need to do about Dando de Sangue. Whatever happens, happens I suppose." Atkin wasn't concerned about being taken. He was a rather large werewolf for goodness sakes! They would have too much on their hands trying to lug him off into the night. Noticing it wasn't the same for Penelope, he mustered up a smile, "But hey! I wouldn't worry about it! There's thousands of creatures on the mountain!" He knew his positive words were floating through the air. "What do you have planned for the night? Are you going into hiding?"
Looking back at Vi, he watched as the lynx dove for the rock and brought it back. "Very impressive!" he laughed and jumped next to the lynx in a playful manner. Throwing back his head he rolled in the water on his back, tail wagging all the while.
Jev
Jev slumped back onto his cot inside his small hut. The offer of protecting Layla seemed very tempting. He's never been a body guard before. This is not helping my fighting cred... He thought to himself. But he could see how frightened Layla was. He knew she would have never asked Jev, of all people, if she weren't serious.
"I wonder what Vet has up his sleeve..." he spoke softly to himself. "Looks like I'm going to have to pay him a visit and question him. Maybe he might slip up and say who is going to be chosen." He thought to for a moment and scoffed to himself. "Vet doesn't slip up. This will be an interesting visit, to say the least." Quickly, he jumped up and pushed on his boots. To the top of the mountain he went!

Penelope & Vi
"What do you have planned for the night? Are you going into hiding?" Atkin said.
Penelope watched Aktin as he spoke. Of course he wasn’t worried, the vampire clan hardly ever picked hulking massive and potentially threatening targets to sacrifice. But they didn’t quiet have a set group they selected from, sometimes it’s the young, sometimes the old, healthy, sick ,useless to the society, or useful. Penelope lived a carefree lifestyle, but she did hate to admit this time of the year her anxieties increased. A few years back a forest witch was chosen. She was kind, warm, and dead useful to entire mountain. And yet she was the one sacrificed.
“Who knows what that night will bring,” Penelope vaguely responded eyes locked on Vi, who was swimming in her direction. Penelope rested her head on Vi’s back and the pair floated gently in the water.
Penelope looked up at the top of the mountain, “So I hear the vamps are up there making big decisions about this year’s choosing. Any ideas what it might be?”

Keres
"Keres, it's no secret I have good scouting skills," Vet said with eagerness. "Whatever the clan decides tonight, I am fully prepared to take it upon myself to... Scout, out our target." Vetagorn knew that if he did this in silence, the mountain wouldn't know who was to blame for the taking and therefore, no conflict could take place. He glanced down at his palms, hoping he hadn't insulted her with his idea.
As he said this she remembered a vision she had earlier in the year
Sharpening their stakes and lighting their torches the creatures of the mountain were ready for all out war. They hadn't been given a choice, yet again. Even though the vampires had said they could have one! They had been distraught at the news that someone had been taken behind their back. They couldn't stand for this, for another month. They were going to fight now whilst the vampires were having their meeting. They would be ambushed and ultimately the entire clan would be wiped out.
"Sorry Vet, but the answer is no. I have foreseen some unfortunate circumstances for us if you were to do that. They would suspect us. They wouldn't stand for it. However I will give them 2 weeks to decide on their sacrifice. If they don't decide by the date given, then you may scout out the target. And you may bring them back. But that has to be a last resort. I won't stand for anything else. We need to get along with them. Or we will all die. I'm sorry that this goes against your feelings and I know this will be hard for you. This is the only choice we have, if we want to remain alive."
She needed him to understand how important it was for them not to fail, the creatures needed to be involved. It needed to be done with their consent, or all would fail for years to come. She hated this decision, but she could see no other way out. For all the leads she could see all lead to doom. Maybe it was inevitable? But she needed to try.
Evangeline
After a long few hours sat staring at a cave Evangeline decided that this was pointless. She could no longer sense if anything was going on, and everything had gone quite within the cave. She wondered if there was another exit that she didn't know about, but she'd had enough of sitting on this ledge. Although she hated giving up once she had decided something, she decided that she could no longer wait this out. The sun was going down anyhow so she knew that she wouldn't be able to hold her magic much longer.
"Zeus? Please come and pick me up, we are going home" She called out mentally to her steed.
He arrived in no time and soon she was back to flying over the mountains. She called for him to fly for a while and let them admire the mountain tops together. The higher she got the less she could see, and the more clouds blew in her face.
"Down a bit boy. I'm getting drenched here" He flew closer to the ground and she could see two creatures, what looked to be a werewolf and a lynx, she couldn't be sure but thought it looked like Atkin and Vi. She was excited about getting back to her cave and finding some inner peace, something she couldn't focus on at the top of the mountain, where the dark magic was stopping her flow of control.
"You ready to go home now Miss Evangeline?" Zeus called out mentally.
She responded that she was and he flew closer to the edge of the forest, where she called home. Finding some nettle leaves she got started at brewing a pot of nettle tea. She sat in front of her cavern and contemplated all that she hadn't learnt today. She hoped she would find out what was going on soon enough.

Vetagorn heard every word Keres spoke. Though he had the gift to speak to minds and project images, he couldn't read them. He didn't need that ability to see she was stressed with something she foresaw. Vet gently held her hand up and looked her in the eyes.
"I'm sorry this stress is put onto you. I just want you to know, I will follow you where ever, when ever. If this is your final choice, then let me see it through for you," he promised. You know how important this time of year is to me. I will not fail you. He spoke to her mind just to confirm his loyalties. With that, he turned and strolled out of the cave towards the rest of the clan.
"What say you all on the mountain choosing?" he yelled. "Stand if you're in agreement!" He looked around and all but three stood in agreement. "Then it is final. The commander has order that we give the mountain two weeks for choosing." He paused and glanced back at Keres, "After that, if no decision is made, a new coarse of action will take place. Noite de Sangue will take place!" The Vampires who stood cheered and clapped. Vetagorn held out a hand to Keres so that she could bask in the glory of her choice. Great job, he spoke insider her head. He smiled and turned toward the edge of the mountain. Looking down over the valley, he leaped off the side and began his advancement down towards the Mysticals. Vet needed to speak to an old friend.
Atkin
“So I hear the vamps are up there making big decisions about this year’s choosing. Any ideas what it might be?” Penelope asked. Atkin sat up and thought. He really had no idea what the Vampires were thinking. At this point, it could be anyone.
"I honestly have no idea," he said. "Penelope, I'm just putting this out there, but if you'd like, I can stay close to where ever you and Vi camp the night of Dando de Sangue." He paused and spoke again with a smile, "I do make a pretty good guard dog!" He laughed slightly at his joke. "Between us three, I think we stand a good chance at making it through the night." He hoped he wasn't coming off too strong, but he could only imagine what Penelope was thinking. He knew her and Vi were very strong, but what does one more hurt?
Slowly, he stood up on his two paws and shook the water from his fur. When he stood up right, he was over 6 feet tall of pure wolf muscle.
"How about this, Penelope... Two days after Dando de Sangue is the full moon. It's no surprise that's the night I fear the most. If you'd help me stay away from the mountain that night, I'll help guard you and Vi." He was ashamed to even ask for assistance that night, but he knew the mysitcals would be on edge and probably hiding in the forest where he transforms. It's been years since his last full moon fell so close to Dando de Sangue. The last time that happened, he had killed two innocent mysticals. Atkin dreaded just the thought of hurting anyone else.
